The Venue

LOCATION:

We are particularly excited that the location for the 18th NSV meeting in June 2022 is Braga, Portugal. Braga is located in northern Portugal’s historic Minho province and dates back to the pre-Roman era.

Braga is the location of Portugal’s first cathedral, many churches, museums and ancient monuments, the city is often referred to as the “Portuguese Rome.” For history and architecture lovers, Braga’s beautiful and well preserved historic center is a major draw. As a buzzing university town it is fun and energetic. There are excellent modern shopping streets. Finally, in keeping with NSV’s own history, the town is known for fantastic Portuguese gastronomy.

Braga is a 40 minute road or 60 minute bus/rail journey from the historic town of Porto. There is an international airport just outside Porto which provides convenient connections from Lisbon, London, Madrid, Paris and Frankfurt. Braga is also very accessible by train from Lisbon.

We strongly encourage you to book your hotel rooms as soon as you can, because this beautiful city is a very popular destination in June!
