The XIXth NSV meeting will be held in Montpellier, France. Montpellier is located in the South of France, approximately 11 km from the Mediterranean Sea, and is well connected by flights and trains to Paris. The city was founded in 985 and gained its charter in 1204. Established in 1220, the University of Montpellier is one of the oldest universities in the world and is home to the longest continually operating medical school. As a buzzing university town, Montpellier is both fun and energetic. Montpellier has a beautiful and well-preserved historic center with an abundance of charming restaurants and cafes. Montpellier is also known for its gastronomic delights and as a haven for oenophiles.
